Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook diverse dishes, primarily on continental cuisine, pastries, and bread.
Plan and create menus that meet students’ and staff’s preferences and dietary requirements.
Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
Adapt recipes and portion sizes as needed to accommodate varying numbers of diners.
Keep up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and innovations related to continental cuisine, pastries, and bread.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as necessary.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cook, focusing strongly on continental cuisine, pastries, and bread.
Solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to create and execute menus that cater to a diverse range of tastes and dietary needs.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are a plus.
