On the 15th of November, 2019, Galaxy International School organised a University fair which brought together representatives from top-class universities both in Ghana and abroad. This is an annual event that is held as one of the career guidance services for students and parents. Through this event, the school seeks to provide information about higher education which would be helpful for our studentsβ further study. Participating Institutions were drawn from the USA, UK, Canada, Switzerland and Ghana. From Canada, Simon Fraser University, Thompson Rivers University and the University of Manitoba were represented. From the USA, the University of West Virginia was present. UK Universities that participated included the University of Liverpool, University of Aberdeen, Durham University, Bradford University, and the University of Nottingham. Ghanaian Universities included the Lancaster University Ghana, Webster University and Academic City University. Also present were the British Council and the Swiss Education Group.
This was a rare opportunity for students and parents alike, to obtain first-hand information about the opportunities for higher education in these countries and universities and to have all their questions answered regarding admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, among others.
