Some 18 students from Galaxy wrote an International Math Olympiad test on Saturday, March 25, 2023. The test is called SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad) and along with Galaxy, a total of 25 schools participated in the contest this year.
Created in 2006, SASMO is one of the largest math contests in Asia. With realistic and high standards, SASMO contests aim to stretch the untapped thinking potential of the student population. Participation in SASMO will help students improve in school mathematics as well as higher-order thinking skills (HOTS).
