Six exceptional students, Nana Kwame, Hamdallah, Anwar, Nadia, Nana Kwaku, and Klenam, have successfully advanced as finalists in the Ghana Brain Bee Competition 2023. After participating in two quiz competitions and a practical session, these talented individuals have shown their impressive knowledge and understanding of brain-related concepts. As a result of their triumph, the organizers have decided to present them with souvenirs in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
To prepare for the competition, our students studied extensively on various brain-related topics, including the nervous system, senses, plasticity, learning and memory, stress, sleep, brain imaging, and artificial brains and neural networks. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, as they have managed to qualify as finalists in this prestigious competition.
The Ghana Brain Bee is a nationwide, two-stage quiz competition that evaluates studentsβ knowledge and understanding of how the brain functions in health and disease. The Ghana Neuroscience Society and the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) are the primary sponsors of this competition, which offers students an opportunity to showcase their intellectual capabilities.
