Dear Galaxy Family,
In the updates communicated yesterday, it was clarified that the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana are unconnected to Galaxy International School and that we would continue to intensify our preventive measures including the holding of a sensitization conference and a review of the end of term exams schedules. Subsequently, the reviewed time table was made available to all classes.
As of yesterday, the cases were new and the public health officials we consulted were of the view that we can continue to run the school while exercising the highest levels of precautionary measures.
However, this morning, there was an emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of Galaxy International School. Upon extensive deliberations and consideration of the views of all stakeholders, it was concluded that Galaxy International School would be temporarily closed down starting from March 16, 2020.
We hope to resume the school on April 14, 2020, after the Easter Break.
E-learning instructions will start on March 18, 2020. Another message will be sent to you explaining how to receive online/ virtual learning materials.
We wish you a healthy and safe break.
