This weekend, Galaxy International School hosted an Open Chess Championship involving ten participants drawn from three different schools; five from DPs International School Tema, 3 from Preset Pacesetters, Madina and two from the host, Galaxy International School. Both under 13 and under 18 played against each other but they were awarded separately.
For the under 18 Farouk and Mehmet from Galaxy International School won the 1st and 2nd places respectively with Gyecce of preset coming third. Raj, Aryan and Rohit of DPs won the the 1st ,2nd and 3rd places of the under 13 age categories. Certificates of participation was presented to all the participants.
